Will the Thule OutWay Trunk Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid

I have a 2009 honda civic hybrid with a small spoiler will the Outway th45jv fit it without any paint issues or bumper dents.

The small, low-profile spoiler on the 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid should not be an issue so the Thule OutWay # TH45JV, will fit.

Any time you place something on the trunk like a bike rack and add the weight of the bikes, you can experience some deformation of the bumper or where ever the rack attaches to the vehicle. Paint you can protect by keeping the pads on the rack, and the vehicle, clean and even apply a coat of wax to the vehicle.

The safest way to carry 2 bikes on your Civic is to use a trailer hitch and hitch mount bike rack. The most popular hitch is the Curt # C11391. I have linked instructions and a video for you. With this hitch installed you can use a 2-bike rack compatible with a Class I trailer hitch. You will also need a # 18050 stabilization strap to support the rack.

For a bike rack I recommend the Swagman Titan, # S63400. This rack is Class I compatible, it has anti-sway cradles, the ability to tilt down, and it comes with an integrated cable lock. I have included links to the instructions and a video for this rack for you.
