We do not have a video available of the installation process of the 4-Pole Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # C59496 on the 2020 Toyota Highlander as of this time (April 2020). However, you can use the video I've attached of the installation on a 2019 Toyota RAV-4 as a guide to follow along with, since the process will be extremely similar. This kit does come with quick splice connectors to make the hard wiring process easier.
You can also follow along in the video, but you'll match the wires coming out of the Modu-lite converter box to the appropriate wires coming from the bulbs in the tail light housing. You can test the functions of the wires if you need to using the circuit tester that is included in the kit, and make your connections based off that.
The Modu-lite converter box wires should be connected as follows:
yellow - left turn signal
green- right turn signal
brown- tail light signal
red- brake light signal
white- ground wire
There are also detailed instructions that are included with this kit, so you've got a couple things to follow along with to get your 2020 Toyota Highlander wired up with a 4 way connector to use when towing a trailer.
If you don't already have a ball mount and hitch ball, the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 is a great option since it comes with 2 ball mounts with varying rise/drops, 2 hitch balls (1-7/8" and 2"), a hitch pin, clips and a carrying bag to store everything in. This is a great option that provides a lot of flexibility to tow some different small trailers because of the different ball mount and hitch ball combinations you can make with it and provides you with everything you'd need to tow a trailer.
