What is Fifth Wheel Towing Capacity of 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
Question:
We have a 2011 2500 HD Chevy Silverado. We just bought a Forest River 5th Wheel Ultra Light with a GVWR of 9,350 lbs. Can our truck handle towing this? I am so confused with all the answers out there.

I looked up the towing capacity of your 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and the range is between 9,300 and 10,200 lbs so Forest River Ultra Light you are looking at that could weigh up to 9,350 lbs when fully loaded would be safe to tow.
The Reese hitch part # RP30081 that you referenced is a really great choice for a hitch if you are in the market for one. It has a jaw design that holds the kin pin very tightly for a smoother and quiet ride. For a rail kit to install this hitch I recommend the Reese custom rail kit part # RP50066-58 as it installs easily and doesn't require drilling like other options. I attached an install video for this kit on a similar truck for you to check out as well.
