Parts to Flat Tow 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee That Cannot be Dolly Towed
Question:
Can I drive the front wheels up on the tow dolly to tow the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee? The rear wheels are on the ground, and the tow dolly has surge brakes. Any other considerations? Thanks,

I took a look at the owner's manual for a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it specified that the 4-wheel drive models cannot be dolly towed at all, and only 2-wheel drive models can be dolly towed if the rear wheels are off the ground. So your best option is definitely going to be flat towing your '13 Grand Cherokee, which is going to require a few parts, which I'll recommend for you:
- Base Plate Kit: Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519291
- Tow Bar: Demco Commander II Non-Binding Tow Bar # DM9511012
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154
- Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766
- Supplemental Braking System: Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251
OR
- For a motorhome with air brakes: Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motorhomes with Air Brakes # SM99243
I have added links to instruction manuals, video reviews and installations for you to take a look at.
