Do Yakima Kayak Carriers Fit Right-On Ruff Sport Trailers for Heavy Fishing Kayak

Question:

Thanks Kyle! I am thinking since this is a cat style hull that I would need two sets of saddles one for each hull also would I need to round bar adaptor kit? Again thanks for your assistance.

I took a look at the website for the Right-On Ruff trailers and it specified that Yakima accessories will fit the crossbars of the Right-On Ruff Sport trailers.

We do have a carrier that will work for you, although the Yakima Mako has been discontinued for some time, and it's replacement, the Yakima Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Saddle Style with Rollers # Y04083-04082, only has an 80 lb capacity. That's not enough for your Jakckson Kayak 360 Angler, which, based on my research weighs 140 lbs (though you will want to confirm that).

The only kayak carrier that will work for a kayak that heavy is the Yakima BigCatch Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # Y04091.

The BigCatch has a 150 lb weight capacity and is a saddle-style carrier to make it easier for you to get your kayak on and off your trailer. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well of the Yakima BigCatch Kayak Carrier # Y04091.

Happy to help! And since your Jakckson Kayak 360 Angler is a catamaran hull you will need a pair of the Yakima BigCatch Kayak Carrier # Y04091. Since the crossbars of your Right-On Ruff trailer are round, you are correct that you are going to need the RoundBar Adapter Kit for Yakima BigCatch Saddles # Y04093. The adapter is going to ensure the saddles don't rotate on your trailer's crossbars, and I've added a link to a video review of them for you as well.
