How to Determine Correct Replacement for 6.90-9 Tire and Wheel

Question:

Hello, Ive read your help section concerning the older subject wheel and tires. My question is, how do I measure to determine the wheel size. there was several references to a 5 bolt 4.5inch wheel. How is this 4.5inch measured? 5 bolt wheel with 6.90-9 tire Ideally, I would like to buy a tire and wheel together to replace existing. thanks

I can help you with determining the correct replacement wheel and tires for your trailer with a 6.90-9 tire. Normally you would just need to measure the diameter of the wheel to get the size, but we know a 6.90-9 tire fits a 9" x 4-1/2" or 9" x 4" wheel.

We do in fact have the replacement tire you need, so long as the tire's 1,298 lb capacity meets your needs. That tire is the Kenda Loadstar K364 Trailer Tire - 6.90/6.00-9 - Load Range C # AM10040.

Then to find your wheel bolt pattern you will need to use the help article I added which details the measurements you need to take, or use the printable template I added if that's easier for you. You have a 5 bolt pattern there and the most common is a 5 on 4-1/2" so I wouldn't be surprised if that's what you had.

If so, you can replace your wheel with the Steel Solid Center Trailer Wheel - 9" x 4" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - White # AM20038.

I have added links to video reviews of the wheel and tire for you to check out as well.
