Compatibility of Friction Sway Control with Pro Series Trunnion Weight Distribution System # 49586
Question:
Does this model work with a sway control? If so, which sway control kit would I purchase with it?

The Pro Series Trunnion Weight Distribution System you referenced, part # 49586 can be used with a friction sway control unit like part # 83660. For trailers longer than 26 feet, two units are recommended. This system includes a weight distributing shank, but the appropriately sized trailer ball with 1-1/4 inch threaded shank will be needed. For a 2-5/16 inch ball, use part # 19286. For a 2 inch ball, use part # A-90. In a good-better-best scenario of how well the sway control preforms, this system would be considered good.
The best preforming sway control would be the Dual-Cam Strait-Line Weight Distribution System like part # RP66083. Instead of resisting trailer sway, this system will prevent trailer sway before it can start. The shank is also included with this system, but not the trailer ball, the trailer balls mentioned above would work great.
I will link you to the products I recommended, as well as installation details for the systems I recommended. I have also linked you to an FAQ article about weight distribution that you might find helpful.
