Do I Need Brass or Aluminum Transmitters with my TireMinder TPSM System

Question:

2019 Jayco Seneca Good afternoon, Do you have in stock? Google search states out of stock. I read about brass vs aluminun vavle stems. My RV have the stainless steel valve extensions, are the brass tps ok? My futute toad vehicle has factory tps, but rubber valve stems. Brass ok there? Thank you in advance,

This is a good question, and it's going to vary between RVs and towed vehicles, so I'll try to break this down. The short version of this is that for your setup you'll want to use brass transmitters. Towed vehicles will have either rubber (brass) or metal (aluminum) valve stems in the wheels. If you have a rubber valve stem, you will need brass transmitters like the ones that come in the TireMinder # TM79FR. If you have a metal valve stem on your towed vehicle, you will need aluminum transmitters like the TireMinder # TM-2ALUM.

RVs, MotorHomes, 5TH Wheels and Trailers will all have either rubber (brass) or metal (steel, chrome or nickel) valve stems. All of these types of valve stems work with the TireMinder brass transmitters like the ones in the # TM79FR. For this reason, you'll be able to use all brass transmitters on both your RV and toad, so there's no need to purchase additional transmitters to use with your TireMinder system.
