The RockyMounts MonoRail Solo 1 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches part # RKY10007 is very secure and one of our more popular wheel mount bike rack options for delicate carbon fiber bike frames. The arm ratchets down over the wheel to hold it in the cradle. It does include an anti-wobble threaded hitch pin to eliminate bike rack sway. I recommend to take a look for yourself at the video review I have posted demonstrating how the bike rack behaves on the road and even going over speed bumps. It is normal to have a small amount of back and forth movement but the bike is very secure in the rack.
I am not sure where the shock is located on your new bike but if you have a hanging bike rack and the shock is interfering with it hanging on the rack, you can use an adapter bar part # RRRBCA021. The adapter gives the bike another level surface to hang from which is shown in the included video. If this is your situation, the adapter bar may be a solution to allow you to use your existing bike rack.
