Can the Hatch On a 2018 Chevy Equinox Be Opened With Yakima FullBack Installed

The Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack part # Y02634 is an excellent option to carry bikes with on a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. That said, you will need to remove the bike rack and bikes to open the hatch because you run the risk of interference as well as the hatch not being rated for the extra weight of the rack.
If you want to be able to open the rear hatch without removing the bike rack you'll have to go with a trailer hitch and hitch mount bike rack, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C77FR for example.
