What is the Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2006 Nissan Frontier SE Crew Cab
Question:
I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier SE Crew Cab. I have located the tow plug underneath the rear of the truck on the drivers side. It is grey, and has blue dots in line where I would think a trailer plug would connect into. The blue dots appear to be plastic or of some soft material. Also, there was no cap on it. Is this a mock plug? Which kit should I use for this?

The 2006 Nissan Frontier is going to have that plug you have found no matter how the truck is equipped. If your truck did not come with a factory tow package, there will be no power to that plug. You can test it with a circuit tester like # 3808 if needed.
There are some cases where even if the relays for the tow package are not present, there could still be power at that plug because the tester only draws a small amount of power. Consult the owners manual to find the locations of the relays. If the relays are not present you will need wiring harness # C56225.
If you do have the relays, you would need # 118263. I have included links to the instructions for both wiring harnesses for you.
