Replacement Brake Assemblies for 2008 Cougar 245RKS 5th Wheel with 12 inch by 2 inch Assemblies
Question:
n my cougar 245rks 5th wheel the sticker reads 4,400 lb. axles. However, the brake drums are 12x2 6 lug and brake assemblies are the 5 bolt setup. Which brake assemblies will work with this ? Thanks

Sounds like maybe someone swapped your axles to a higher capacity which is why your brake assemblies sound like they are rated higher than what you found on the trailer info.
Based on what you have the best option is the etrailer brake kit part # AKEBRK-7-SA as these are going to fit and work well plus are self-adjusting so you don't have to worry about ever needing to adjust them.
