In order to flat-tow a 2014 Honda CR-V you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, wiring harness, and a supplemental braking system. I have attached my recommendations for each of these parts below.

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit part # RM-521567-5
Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar part # RM-676
Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles part # HM56304
Blue Ox Patriot Braking System part # BLU37TR
Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass part # RM76511 or part # RM76512
Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit part # RM-9332

If your owner's manual says to only pull the #19 ACC radio fuse, use RM76511; if it states to pull the #19 ACC radio fuse and the #20 ACC key lock fuse, use RM76512.

I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot Braking System as the most durable and reliable option. The Blue Ox Patriot is a very popular option that has been on the market for a very long time. Many customers transfer this unit from vehicle to vehicle so you know it will last.

The Honda CR-V does not require a battery charge line but you can one if you like with the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-156-25.
