Need A 7-Way Plug For 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup That Has 4-Way Wiring

Question:

I watched the short video you had on the adapter. The photo I sent is my factory wiring for my 2003 Dodge Ram. Looking at the video it doesnt look like that would be the same pin that would connect to my truck.

Thank you for the photo. The picture you sent is a 4-way connector on the Ram pickup. The Multi-Plug T-One Connector Assembly for 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector part # 20135 is designed for pickups that came with the factory 7-Way connector because it is intended as a replacement part. It is possible that you have the correct connection point but it is further up behind the bumper and someone installed a 4-Way connector there.

If you follow the wiring up behind the bumper and the wiring displayed in the photo is plugged into a square connector, you should be able to unplug the 4-way connector and plug in part # 20135. If you don't have the connection port you will most likely need to hard wire a 7-way using part # ETBC7. The ETBC7 kit comes with the components to wire a 7-Way plug. Your existing 4-pin trailer connector will plug into the 4-pin connector on the 7-way adapter and you will only have to run the wires for the 12 volt power and electric brakes.

I have attached installation instructions and an installation video on a 2001 Dodge Ram of this kit for you to check out. The installation process will be the same on a 2003. Please let me know if you need a brake controller and I can make additional recommendations.
