What Part of Thule Fit Kit THKIT3142 Secures to Roof Channels of Vehicle
Question:
I got the fit kit yet the metal bracket had a hook lipon one end, is it really meant not to hook or grab the metal rail? So basically the lip is just a spacer for the singal bolt? Also for the thule podium kit, is there an option for clips to attach the side of the door jam or would i need a differnt kit all together?

What secures the fit kit part # THKIT3142 to the roof of your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the bolt that runs down the middle of the fit kit. If you fast forward to the 3 minute mark of the video I attached you can see exactly how we installed it on a very similar Grand Cherokee as yours as well.
