Does Trailer Wiring Harness for 2019 Ford Explorer Need a Converter

The product description mentions there is no converter with the harness. Do I need one and where can I get one if I do.

No, your 2019 Ford Explorer doesn't need a converter for its trailer wiring so part # 118540 is exactly what you need. Some vehicles need a converter to protect their wiring from being damaged if there's a back feed from the trailer. Usually it's on harnesses that connect inline with the rear tail lights. Since your Explorer has factory connectors that this harness mates right up with it's already protected and a converter on the harness isn't necessary.
I've linked a video from when we installed the harness on a Lake St. Louis Police Interceptor. The install is the same as on your 2019.
If you also need a hitch I recommend the etrailer hitch, part # e98867. All the hitches that fit are pretty similar but I like this one over the rest because of the matte finish. It makes it less obvious on the back of the vehicle.
