Recommended Enclosed Trailer Size And Harley Street Glide Special Biker Bar
Question:
I have a Street Glide Special and my wife is getting a Harley Freewheeler trike. According to Harley the dimensions are: 96.46 L x 37.8 W 105.8 L x 55 W What size enclosed trailer could I get both in? What rail or secure tie down parts would be best

From my research more than likely the smallest available enclosed trailer you can get both to fit in is a 8.5 x 24 foot. The next smallest is 8.5 x 16 but the two Harleys will probably be a tad too long to fit into that size enclosed trailer. Your best option is to measure your bikes sitting next to one another (with the handle bars positioned to not rub one another) and measure the length to make sure you get an enclosed trailer that is wide enough. Those were just the two sizes I could find that may work for you.
The best way to secure the motor cycles is with a biker bar. You can use B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System for Trailers part # BWMC2301 if the Street Glide is a touring model with a Frame tube diameter of 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" and a Frame width: from 10" to 14-1/2". With the Trike you don't really have to worry about it falling over since it pretty much balances itself however I would recommend to use tie downs like part # IMF12636 with Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor part # RR05.
