Can I Use Surco Spare-Tire Mounted Cargo Basket On Chevy Roadtrek Spare Tire

I have a 2015 Roadtrek Chevy 190P. Im looking for a cargo basket and wonder if this would work on the continental spare tire on the rear of the Roadtrek. Im looking to carry my Pakayak kayak that breaks down into pieces and fits in a bag total weight is about 80 LBS

I do have an option for you but the Surco Spare-Tire-Mounted Cargo Basket part # SPSJ4319 will not install on the 2015 Chevy Roadtrek 190P because of the way your spare tire carrier is mounted. The hardware of the Surco installs between the spare tire mounting plate on the back of a vehicle and the spare tire. Since your spare tire carrier is mounted at the bottom of the frame and is suspended (not mounted to the back of the vehicle) then cargo basket will not be able to install.
I recommend to use a 46x17 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145 in the hitch to carry the Pakayak Kayak that breaks down into pieces. You can protect your investment with part # e98880 to lock the carrier to the hitch and part # RM-061 to tighten up the connection so you won't have any bouncing around of the cargo basket back there.
