Weight Distribution Shank Needed For Travel Trailer W/ 6 Inch Frame Height and Underslung Coupler

Question:

I have a 2020 Jayco 29QB with a 6inch frame height and bottom mount coupler. Does the Husky Weight Distribution system have enough adjustability to work for my application?

Without knowing the coupler height of your Camper or the receiver height you have to work with, it'd be hard to say but I can tell you how to figure it out.

The fact that the trailer has a 6 inch frame with an underslung coupler won;t change the procedure to determine what sort of drop is needed for the weight distributing shank which would be about the same procedure for determining the rise/drop of ball mount needed. You'd measure the height of the receiver by measuring downward from the inside top of the receiver tube to the ground. For the coupler, you'd measure from the bottom of the coupler downward to the ground. The height difference would be the rise or drop needed.

The shank provided with the # HT32218 Husky Center Line is good for 1-1/4 inches of drop or 6-1/2 inches of rise. The spacing of the height adjustment holes is consistent among weight distribution shanks (except for an oddball or two) so any of the shanks we offer would be compatible for you.

I'll link you to a help article that shows how to determine the rise/drop needed as well as our selection of weight distribution shanks.
