Replacement for Motor Part 1101422 & 214-1001 on 1997 Motorhome

Question:

My 1997 holiday rambler vacationer steps try to go in or out. But only move a little bit. There is a noise that sounds like gears are jumping or broken. Just bought this used motor home, the whole assembly motor gear box linkage looks fairly new. The linkage is curved. There’s a sticker on the motor with #1101422 and. 214-1001 on it. Can you tell me what parts and part numbers I need to order to get the steps working again. Thank you

The reason the assembly looks pretty new is because based on the motor 1101422 / 214-1001 you mentioned, your motorhome's steps were upgraded.

The only catch is you have to know when this upgrade occurred, which I realize is problematic for a used motorhome. But if this update occurred in 2005 or before you need a new step assembly. If it happened after 2005 we have exactly what you need with the Replacement Motor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379147 and Replacement Gear Box and A Linkage for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379160.

I have added links to video reviews of these parts as well as a link to our entire selection of steps for a motorhome if you do need to go that route.
