Can Brackets be Moved on Weight Distribution to Accommodate Sway Control
Question:
I purchased a friction sway control with the two ball hookup for our new travel trailer. with my current weight distribution hitch im really tight and not able to get 24 inch for mounting on the trailer tongue. im at like 22 1/2 inch to center, can i side back my mounts for my weight distribution hitch and slightly angle my chains to allow me to get that distance or do you have other recommendations?

It should not be an issue for you to move the mounts of your weight distribution system to accommodate a friction sway control unit like the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660.
I was unable to find which exact sway control kit and weight distribution system you ordered from us, but in general most weight distribution systems have a range the mounts can be in to allow you some wiggle room. So you will need to check the instruction manual of your exact system to determine this but you should be okay to move your brackets.
