Recommended Tire Chains For 275/65 R18 Tires on 2018 Ford F-150

Question:

I have a 2018 F-150 with 275/65 R18 Tires. My tire size is not on the recommended list of tire sizes that can use chains on my vehicle the largest tire listed in the owners manual is 265. The description of this product seems to indicate that it may work, but again the owners manual does not seem to list any exceptions e.g. certain types of chains.

I do have an option for you but the Pewag Snox Pro part # PWSXV580 is not a fit for your tires. I do see in the owner's manual for the 2018 Ford F-150 how class S snow chains are recommended for the 245/70R17, LT245/70R17, 265/70R17 and 265/60R18 tire sizes on the truck.

Since your tires are bit bigger I still recommend to use the class S compatible chains part # Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern part # TC2327 which are designed for clearance between the tire and wheel well or other components of the vehicle near the wheel. I have attached an installation video for your reference. Please keep in mind you will need a minimum of 1.46" (37 mm) between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well. You will also need at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle itself for these chains to fit and not cause damage to the vehicle.
