Reese Revolution-Compatible Under Bed Mount 5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2005 Ford F250
Question:
I have a 2005 ford f250 crew cab 6.0 diesel with short bed. I am looking at a new fifth wheel with revolution king box. I would like an undermount hitch so I have no rails in bed when hitch is removed. What hitch would you recommend. I currently have the superglide hitch that I use with an older fifth wheel. Thanks for your help

We've got exactly what you're looking for. I'd recommend going with the Reese M5 hitch and rail system which would consist of the # RP30921 hitch and the # RP30073 installation rail kit. The hitch itself features a 1-piece jaw system that holds the 5th wheel king pin super-tight for a very smooth ride without much of the banging and clattering you'd experience with some other 5th wheel hitches. The under bed mounting rails resemble the in-bed pucks you see in newer trucks that have the factory tow/prep package. The hitch is easily removable when not being used, with only 4 pucks remaining in the truck bed.
The Revolution pin box on your new 5th wheel is manufactured by Reese, so there's no doubt about whether or not it'll be compatible with this hitch. you will need the wedge kit # RP44FR to prevent the king pin from pivoting in the jaws of the hitch.
If you don't already have a 7-way trailer connector mounted in your truck bed, you can install one using part # 50-97-410.
I've linked to some installation and product description videos that you might find helpful.
