5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 Long Bed With Factory Tow/Prep Package
Question:
I have a 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 long bed with the factory installed fifth wheel mounts in the truck bed. Which 5th wheel hitch should I use?

The most popular option is the B&W Companion, part # BWRVK3710 for a 20K capacity or # BWRVK3715 for a 25K capacity. The B&W Companion is as rugged as they come, using a 1 inch thick jaw that holds the fifth wheel king pin incredibly tightly. This leads to comfortable ride, without almost all of the clanging and banging usually experienced.
If you want something a bit less expensive that still offers a lot of quality for the money, you can't go wrong with the Curt A Series, available in a 20K capacity as # C84FR or a 30K capacity as # C16070. The jaw used on the Curt isn't as thick as that used on the B&W, but Curt uses a unique interlocking jaw that holds the king pin 360° around its circumference for excellent ride quality.
Personally, I'd prefer the Curt option as it's less expensive with a ride quality that's right there with the Companion.
If you don't already have a 7-way installed in your truck bed, you can install one using part # C56000.
