Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter Recommendation for Trailer with Lippert Pin Box 240258

the Lippert mfg hitch on it is rated at 19000# item number is 240258 really like the look of the torsion hitch ! need a gooseneck hitch that will work with my flatbed with a recessed 2 5/16 ball

I checked with Lippert and they informed me that the pin box on your trailer is a Lippert 1716 which we do have a really great gooseneck adapter that fits but the Gen-Y you mentioned only fits the 1621 style. So what I'd recommend instead is the Reese Goose Box part # RP85FR with the spacer kit part # RP61301 and you'd have a 20k rated, cushioned pin box adapter that unlike any other option similar wouldn't void the warranty of the trailer frame. This uses an air bag and shock kit to provide the cushioning instead of the torsion setup of the Gen-Y.

My Dad actually has a flat bed truck like yours and uses a Goose Box so I know from firsthand experience the Goose Box will fit in the recessed ball area of your truck's flat bed.
