In order to use the Yakima LockNLoad Platform Roof Tray part # Y05045 which is the recommended size on a 2012 Toyota 4Runner you will need the LockNLoad SL Adapter for Yakima SkyLine and TimberLine Towers part # Y05042-2 and the TimberLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars part # Y33TR.
