Sounds like you are wanting a cushioned weight distribution shank for a 2-1/2 inch hitch which we do offer, but the Curt Rebellion is not available for the 2-1/2 inch hitch size and also isn't compatible with weight distribution.

So what you would want is the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank part # 325-GH-1302 which does fit this hitch size and uses torsion springs to provide the cushioning you are looking for. This also fits all of the standard weight distribution head brands. I attached a review video link for more info as well.
