Torque Specs for Installing Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2.5 inch Hitch # RM-062
Question:
How much ft./lbs. torque is recommended by manufacturer for tightening each set of nuts for the 062 2-1/2inch quiet hitch? The 061 2inch quiet hitch torque recommendation is 23 ft./lbs. Cant find the specs for the 2-1/2. Thanks

We checked with Roadmaster and the torque specs for the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches # RM-062 are the same as the Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061 you also mentioned. So you'd use 23 ft./lbs.
According to the directions, which are the same for both parts, "Torque both of the first nuts to 23 ft./lbs. Using a wrench, hold each of the first nuts and tighten the jam nuts to 23 ft./lbs."
