Expert Reply:
The Hopkins Backup Sensor System, # HM60100VA, is a universal fit type of item. It mounts to industry standard license plate hole spacing on vehicles so it will fit on your 2004 Ford Expedition. The unit wires into the reverse light circuit on the vehicle. When the vehicle is placed in reverse, the sensors will power on and if an obstruction is located the alert will beep.
The sensors can be adjusted a little to point up or down more. If the license plate area on the vehicle is recessed, you would want to adjust the sensors so it does not sense the vehicle and give a false alert.
