How do you Replace the Internal Housing and Foot Plate on the Pro Series Square Jack # PS1400850383
Question:
When you take the cover off the top - can the pins on the turning handle be removed to pull out the handle from the two housing components that turn to raise the jack up and down? Do you push the pins out on either side or do u pull them out? I am replacing the same jack but the outer housing is already welding to the trailer. So I only need the inside housing and the Footplate. Thanks

Once you remove the cover from the top of the jack you will see one pin, called the groove pin, going through the handle of the jack. That pin can either be pushed or pulled through the handle. Once that pin is removed the handle can slide out of the top of the jack.
Next, you will see another gear around the stem. You will remove that gear to expose the solid pin going through the stem. The solid pin can also be pulled or pushed through. The grooved and solid pins will be very secure in place as they are not meant to be removed, so they will not slide out easily.
I have attached a photo showing the internal assembly of the jack for you to reference.
I spoke with my contact at Pro Series and the only replacement parts that they offer for this jack is the gear kit, # BD500106.
