Parts Needed to Install 7-Way Trailer Connector on 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I've already got the Curt hidden hitch installed on my 2020 Outback Wagon but now I need to install a 7 plug wiring kit. What do I need to go about doing this?

Glad to hear that you're already set up with the Curt Trailer Hitch # C67JR on your 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon. If you don't already have a 4-Way connector like the Curt # C56040 then that is our first step.
Next is to upgrade this to a 7-Way since Subaru doesn't have direct provisions. For this I recommend the 7-Way Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L which gets us both 4-Way and 7-Way connectors. The 7-Way will carry all of the lighting functions and then also supply 12V power once we route the black wire to our battery. I recommend using the Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58000 to secure the connectors next to our hitch receiver.
This kit then allows us to use the Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180 (if you were needing to use a brake controller). I like the Echo because it is completely different and doesn't require us to drill into our cab as it syncs to our phone via Bluetooth so we can adjust the various settings.
I have attached some installation and review videos that you can reference.
