Helper Spring Recommendation for 2020 Chevy Colorado Diesel

I have a 2020 Chevy Colorado Diesel, and the rear suspension compresses when I haul or tow. I don't tow very often, so I'm a little resistant about getting both a distribution kit and a suspension product for my truck. If I deal with the truck side,will that be good enough? What would you recommend?

It sounds as if you're more concerned with the sag from when you haul things in the truck bed, correct? The right system for you will depend on whether you haul a consistent amount of weight pretty regularly or if that weight varies quite a bit. If the weight is pretty consistent, like hauling a ATV and some camping gear a static system like the Timbren Suspension Enhancement Kit, part # TGMRCCA would be a good choice. The Aeon springs won't come into play until the rear suspension compresses, and once the springs contact your axle the firmer they'll get as more weight is added. The nice thing about these is there's no adjustment required, nothing to leak and the springs won't affect your ride when you're not hauling.
If the weights can vary quite a bit, you'll want to go with a system that provides some adjustability like an # F2587 air spring setup from Firestone (assuming your truck doesn't have the ZR2 package) would work great. The kit is compatible with models equipped with the Duramax Diesel. You can adjust the pressure in the system to always have the proper amount of firmness in the rear suspension. If the ability to add or remove pressure from the system from the truck cab while you're on the fly interests you, you might want to look into an on-board compressor kit like # F2158.
Products such as those I recommended above work best on loads hauled on the truck, not on squat caused by a trailer's tongue weight. Because the tongue weight is applied only behind the rear axle if there's enough tongue weight applied it can actually lighten the weight bearing down on the front axle, causing diminished steering and braking function. There are some pretty inexpensive weight distribution setups available. If you'd care to reply with the tongue weight of your fully loaded trailer, I'd be happy to make a recommendation so you'd know what to look for should you start towing more often.
