Ladder Rack and Tonneau Cover Options for a 2020 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2 Foot Bed

In order to use both a tonneau cover and ladder rack together on a 2020 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2' bed you only have a few options. The Adarac Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # A70450 or Adarac Aluminum Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # A4001235 will work with any soft roll-up tonneau cover that mounts inside the bed rails like the TruXedo Lo Pro Soft Roll-up Tonneau Cover part # TX585901. The Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # A4000965 will work with both soft and hard roll/fold tonneau covers that mount inside the bed rails like the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover part # BAK448227.

I recommend the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack because the integrated channels in the crossbar allow you to use rooftop mounted accessories like a kayak carrier which otherwise would not be able to work due to the bars being too large. The Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack will also work just fine for utility items such as lumber etc.

Unfortunately, the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack won't work on a 2020 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2' bed although Thule was not able to state why. I am also not aware of a work-around for this.
