How to Determine if Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack Could Fit 2009 Jeep Wrangler and Fold
Question:
I read this info: https://www.etrailer.com/question-76075.html I would like to know if the Yakima, my preferred choice would work for my Jeep unlimited 2009 vehicle. I don’t care much about able to get the rear door to swing open, my current rack blocks it even with tilt. I am just concerned with firing the rack and being able to load 2 bikes 2.8 wheels or fold the empty rack, without getting into contact with the spare tire. I don’t want to use a swing away arm for the rack.

In order for the Yakima Holdup part # Y02443 to be able to fold up on your Jeep Wrangler you'd need to have at most 7 inches of clearance between the hitch pin hole of your hitch and the furthest point out on the rear spare. For the rack to fit not folded you'd need to have less than 12 inches there.
