Will the Swagman XTC-2 Fit on the 1-1/4" Hitch on a BMW 5 Series
Question:
Can you see any problems using this carrier on a BMW 5 Series with the Curt 1 1/4 inch hitch? Any cautions? Carrying 1 Men’s and 1 Women’s 27” bikes.

No. The Swagman XTC-2 # S64670 is a good choice to carry your bikes on the back of your 2007 BMW 5 Series with a 1-1/4" hitch receiver. Since it's a platform rack, the bikes will be easier to get on and off compared to a hanging bike rack and as long as your bikes do not weigh more than 35-lbs each, this will work well.
Since this rack does not come with a locking hitch pin to help eliminate rattle and secure the rack to your car, you may want to consider adding the Swagman Anti Rattle Lock # S64029. You can also add the same locking hitch pin with an additional cable lock to secure the rack and the bikes with the Swagman Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks w/ 1-1/4" & Combo Shanks - 7' # S64031.
