Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2020 Ford F-250 with and without Factory Puck System

Question:

Hey. Question. So I'm considering getting a 2020 Ford F-250, long bed for sure. Not sure though if I will be getting the factory puck system or not though - cost etc :) - while I ponder I'm wondering if you might recommend a 5th wheel hitch for either setup so I at least have my options lined up in that area. That would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I can absolutely make a 5th wheel hitch recommendation for your potential 2020 Ford F-250, whether you get it with the factory puck system in the bed or not.

Starting with my recommendation for the factory puck setup, I really like the Curt A25 5th Wheel Hitch # C16036. This will drop right down into those pucks and it features an interlocking 2-jaw system that will completely wrap around the trailer's king pin. What this does is not only provide an extremely secure connection with the trailer, but it also drastically cuts down on rattle and movement at the connection, providing you with a really smooth, quiet ride during travel. I also like its unique 3-point indicator system that lets you easily see when it's ready to uncouple, couple, or tow.

The A25 features a 24,000 pound towing weight capacity and an adjustable height setting between 13 and 17 inches.

Then for the F-250 if it doesn't come with the factory puck system, I recommend going with the standard base rail version of the A25, part # C16180, which provides you with all the same features as the above-mentioned model but will instead mount using the Custom Installation Kit # BWRVK2402.

The Installation Kit includes everything you need to mount the hitch, including custom brackets that will line up to existing holes in the F-250's frame rails so you don't have to drill into them.

I have attached a couple video reviews below that you can also check out.
