Can I Use a TorkLift SuperHitch for a 2014 Ram 3500 on a 2019 Ram 3500
Question:
My 2014 Ram 3500 had the TLD1104 hitch and the weld on the lower tube to cross tube failed due to their design. I did a quick check and confirmed their miss in the moment load due to the super hitch. They replaced it two years ago picked up at their shop with a TLD1108 design. Both use the factory hitch. I now see that the TLD1111-30 is the only hitch that fits a 2019 or 2020 Ram 3500 and now requires removal of the factory hitch. If I had drawings I could figure this out, but I want to reuse the TDL1108 on the new truck and I have no dimensions or specs to confirm fit or design stress. In the good old days we just welded the hitch to the frame. I am concerned the factory hitch will not allow install of the TLD1108 or the new truck frame has a significant change in width. Can you advise if anyone has asked this before or if dimensional wise it just cant fit up? For $909, its a lot to throw away a 2 year old hitch that has performed great. I can see that removing the factory hitch and moving the load directly back to the frame is best to increase the hitch rating, but we are fine with the 20K design for our needs.

It looks like there is less than 1/4" difference between the frame width of the 2014 Ram 3500 and the 2019 Ram 3500, but as you mentioned - the B&W # BWHDRH25503 is a fit for both of these vehicles and there are no dimensional differences between the B&W and the TorkLift # TLD1108-30.
The main differences between the TorkLift SuperHitch # TLD1111-30 and the older # TLD1108-30 is that the TLD1111-30 has the stacked 2" and 2-1/2" receivers that require the removal of the factory hitch. This is not required with the # TLD1108-30. Keep in mind that the pre-drilled frame holes on each vehicle may vary by model, so there may be some drilling required when switching your old hitch over to your new truck.
You will be able to use your TorkLift # TLD1108-30 hitch on your 2019 Ram 3500 because of the negligible difference in frame widths on the two different model years of the two trucks (the 2014 is slightly wider than than the 2019).
