Question:
Ive read in some reviews that there can be issues with the Curt Echo Brake Controller falling out of the 7-way trailer plug. Is this a very big concern and, if so, are there any good solutions that you are aware of?

While not impossible, incidents of the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 falling out of the vehicle 7-way is very rare. The connection between the controller and 7-way is very secure. You have to give it a solid push to make sure it's flush in the connector when installing.
Once installed the tab on top of the Echo is silicone-coated to absorb vibration. This tab sticks up at the end so when you place it in your 7-way, the tab on the connector is in front of the tab on the Echo. You can see how this works in the pictured example. This is an additional security measure to keep the Echo in place.
Included is more information on the Curt Echo in video overview and installation videos.
