Roof Rack and Cargo Basket Recommendations for a 2006 Range Rover
Question:
I have an 06 Range Rover full size without roof rails. I am considering buying the sports bars that fit on the front half of roof, so I can attach a roof rack. The Thule model says the bars need to be 20inch I measured the fittings, as I dont yet have the real bars, and from outside ends they measure about 30 - do you know which roof rack might be best for these sports bars? I am considering a basket with adjustable bars as I plan on keeping an oversized spare tire up top and the extra bar can help keep it in place. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Most roof mounted accessories will require a range or specific crossbar spread. You can get an idea of the crossbar spread on your 2006 Range Rover by measuring from the center of one fitting to the center of the other fitting if you do not have a roof rack.
The Thule Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, # TH859XT, requires a crossbar spread between 20 inches and 37 inches.
