What is the difference between the 20000 lb and the 25000 lb rated B&W Companion for the ford factory puck in my 2020 F450?

Both the B & W Companion 25K # BWRVK3305 and 20K # BWRVK3300 use the same hitch head. The difference between the two is that the 25K hitch uses a stronger beefier leg or base unit and therefore is rated for 5000 more lbs.

Either hitch would work well for you (assuming that your 5th wheel weighs less than 20K) and both are fully compatible with the factory tow/prep pucks in your truck bed. If there's a chance you might go with a heavier 5th wheel in the future, you might consider going with the higher rated hitch.

You can see how the hitch installs by clicking the provided link.

For a larger trailer like that I like to have a little more wiggle room with the weight capacity. So if you have the 2020 F-450 with the factory pucks I highly recommend the Reese M5, # RP30922, which will drop right into those factory pucks and features a robust 27,000 pound towing capacity.
