Will Timbren Axle Less Kit Installed on 1/8 inch Thick Frame Rail Require Additional Bracing
Question:
Hello, I purchased a Timbran axle-less 5,000 # suspension kit. I am reading through the assembly directions and it states that when bolting the frame be aware that hollow tubular sections of frame may not be sufficiently strong to withstand compression of bolted joints...consider fabricating a bracket..inch okay how do I know if my tubular steel will be strong enough without the bracket it suggests to consider to make? This suspension will be attached to 1/8th inch thick 2x4 tubular steel

Sounds like your frame dimensions would be thick enough to handle the install of the # TASR5200S05 since it's 1/8 inch thick steel channel. It is harder to say though without seeing the frame and it's design aside from thickness. You might check with a local fabricator to see if they agree, which I think they will, if you wanted to err on the side of caution.
