Recommended Trailer Hitch And Wiring For 2019 VW Golf SportWagen TDI
Question:
I'm planning on pulling a small trailer without brakes but has a 4 way connector behind my Golf Sportwagen TDI. What hitch and other items are needed? New to this whole thing. Thanks!

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24949 is a confirmed fit for all models of the 2019 VW Golf SportWagen, including the TDI. With a bold on installation, no welding is required and provides flexibility to carry accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers in addition to the small trailer mentioned.
To pull your small trailer, you will need the vehicle side for your 4 way connector. For this I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. This kit allows you to skip the cutting or splicing into your wiring making the installation process simpler.
Finally you will need a ball mount like the Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitch # 3593 and a tow ball like the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256.
Included are video resources for all of these solutions for you to review.
