Can TireMinder Smart TPMS for RVs # TPMS-APP-6 be Used on Rubber Valve Stems

Question:

Will the vibrations from the road with TireMinder Sensors cause the rubber valve stems on my toad to fail/crack while driving? I have seen other TPMS products that require the metal stems and have the same question for your product. The complaint on the other product was that it was not clear enough in the documentation that the sensor should not be on the rubber valves. This caused the valve stem to fail and a catastrophic blow out for the people that reported this concern. Should all valve stems for TPMS system be metal?

Helpful Expert Reply:

The sensors of the TireMinder Smart TPMS for RVs # TPMS-APP-6 that you referenced are not heavy enough to cause the issue you described. They would not vibrate to the point to cause rubber valve stem failure. These will work great on rubber valve stems like you have. In general metal valve stems are great, but this kit specifically does not require them.

I attached a review video for this kit for you to check out as well.
