Is Longer Warranty Period Important When it Comes to Snow Chains
Question:
How significant is having the longer warranty on the Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - XG12 Pro - Size 245 # TH01594245 vs Pewag # PWSXV580 and can these be used on a class b+ motorhome? w/ 225 75 16

I definitely recommend the longer warranty when it comes to snow chains. The Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern part # TH01594245 have a 5- year warranty compared to the Pewag Snox Pro Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - 1 Pair part # PWSXV580 90 day warranty. A longer warranty period in my opinion says something about the quality of the chain because the manufacturer does not foresee any issues with the chains if they are willing to cover them up to 5 years. Both sets of chains fit the 225/75-16 tire size but the Konig is a better quality chain with an easier installation process. You simply drape the chain over the tire and make the color coded connections. You do want to keep in mind you need 12 mm of clearance between the tire and the components under the motor home to prevent damage.
