Can Driver's Side Taillight Assembly Be Installed on Passenger Side of Trailer

Question:

Hey there. These lights are direct replacements for my 06 jayco eagle travel trailer however my license plate bracket is on the right side and not the left. They are labeled on here as left for plate and right as just the light. Is there any reason I couldnt install the left light on the right side and right light on the left side or do they have to be specific as to which side they are installed on. Heres a picture.

You could certainly reverse the position of the lamps by installing the # 328-003-81LBM1 lamp on the passenger side and the # 328-003-81BM1 lamp on the driver's side. Both lamps wire the same way, the white wire is the ground connection, the red is the turn signal/brake lamp and the black is the running lamp circuit. Reversing the lamps will have no impact on how they function.

Do these lights need a load resistor in line for the turn signals? Thanks.

If you're using these LED assemblies in place of incandescent bulbs on the RV/trailer, then load resistors may be needed to prevent hyperflashing. It's hard to know for sure if they're needed ahead of time though, so my best recommendation is to install the lights as normal and see how they operate first.
