Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit and Accessories Recommendation for a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500
Question:
Just ordered a Dodge RAM 3500 6.7L with 4:1 rear axle, non-dually 8 foot bed truck to pull our current 5th wheel Cedar creek 38foot Model 36RLTS and are planning to move up to a 2012 Dynamix now Forest River owned 414inch model 3800 D3 Trilogy fifth wheel that weighs in at roughly 14,850 dry weight. I assume that this hitch would mesh readily for the trailer we use. Which installation kit and other accessories would you recommend? Any advice or comment would be appreciated.

The new Dodge you plan on getting would be an excellent choice to tow a 5th wheel trailer. For an installation kit on a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500, you can use installation kit # RP30035-186.
The hitch you have selected, # RP30928, is a good choice. The 20K capacity will handle either trailer you mentioned and you will have enough capacity should you decide to upgrade to something heavier in the future.
For a lube plate, you can use # RP83001. For in-bed wiring to connect the 5th wheel trailers to the truck, you can use # 50-97-410.
