Height Above Truck Bed of Curt 16541 Slider 5th Wheel Hitch When Used w/ Curt 16022 Adapter Rails
Question:
What is the hitch height from the bed using the A20 Hitch 16140 with the roller adapter 16022 and the A20 wheel roller16550? If we did not use the roller adapter16022 what would be the height of the hitch from the bed? What part would need to be added to the hitch to make it work?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The # C16550 roller you mentioned isn't compatible with the A20 hitch. You'd want to use the # C16541 which combines the # C16140 hitch with a slider (a/k/a roller) unit. As that sits, the hitch is height adjustable from 17-1/2 inches up to 21-1/2 inches in height. Adding the # C16022 puck adapter would add 1-1/2 inches of height, making it adjustable from 19-23 inches in height above the floor of the truck bed.
The # C16022 is needed if your truck has the factory mounting pucks in the bed. If you don't have that feature, you'd just use the # C16541 hitch/slider and the # C16427-204 bed rail/frame bracket kit.
