The Rack'em Fitz-All Enclosed Trailer Ladder Rack # RA-28 comes with 1" self tapping screws for assembling the rack and 2-1/4" for installing the rack into the frame of the trailer. The length of the 2-1/4" screws is to accommodate installation through the body of the trailer and the frame. I spoke with my contact at Rack'Em and he mentioned that some users have installed the rack to the trailer using backing plates with nuts and bolts for added strength.
