Can the PullRite SuperGlide Be Used On a 2018 Ram 3500 Long Bed

I had a 3500 Ram with a 65inch bed and traded it for a 3500 ram with a 8foot bed. Can I still use the Superglide hitch on the long wheel base truck?

The best option for a 2018 Ram 3500 is the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch part # BWRVK3600 if you have the factory in-bed prep package or the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3500 with the Custom Underbed Installation Kit part # BWGNRK1314 if you don't have the factory in-bed prep package. As you can see, these options both contain a fixed fifth wheel hitch which is recommended for a long bed truck.

That said, it is still possible to use a sliding fifth wheel hitch on a long bed truck so long as you do not engage the slider mechanism. If the slider mechanism was engaged then you would have serious issues with load distribution which could damage the vehicle but would surely make for a very poor ride.

I am not very familiar with the PullRite SuperGlide as this is not a product we offer but to my understanding this is an auto-sliding fifth wheel hitch which would not work on a long bed truck unless the slider mechanism could be disabled. Furthermore, there are several different mounts for the PullRite SuperGlide and they are not all cross compatible so the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch is a far better option and it's lighter so it will be much easier to take in and out of the truck bed.
