2017—2019 Superduty F250 With Factory 7 Pin Extension Option
Question:
I am looking for a way to extend the factory bumper location 7 pin connector by 1 foot. This truck had a Tommy Gate lift gate installed and with this the rear bumper removed. Fords advanced trailer wiring system is very particular about things being connected to the 7 pin, and we need a harness that is able to pass through all signals, but not be detected as a trailer when not connected to an actual trailer. Do you have a solution?

As long as nothing is plugged into the other end of the extension you will not receive the error messages you describe.
